Photo Dates

I recently imported a bunch of photos. My problem is, when I look at them on the ipod thumbnail window, it says January 1980 on some, and December 2005 on others. I certainly did not take those pictures then (January 1980). Is there a way to change these dates?

The dates in my computer are correct (December 2005), just not on the iPod. Thanks.

i take it you mean the date at the 'top bar' when you view the thumbnails on your ipod. it could be your ipod date setting was Jan 1980 when you first sync't you photos, just try a resync, i.e. sync to different folder then go back to your original folder.

I suspect you're right about that ripvision. The reason I say 'suspect' is because I've just done a small experiment.

I found a photo that had a 2005 date, moved it out, sync'd and then moved it back in again. I was expecting the date to now be 1st Feb 2006. It's actually 31st Jan 2006. I checked the date on both the iPod and the PC and they're both correct too.

The date showing is definitely not the exif date and it's definitely not the file date, so perhaps this is a bug?
