Questions for those using ibooks

Do you attach video cameras to your machine? One of these days I am going to buy myself a video camera and it will attach via USB/Firewire. Just want a heads up before I dive in.

My digital camera cant record sound with its video. So instead of buying a new digital camera (2.1MP gets the job for me done) it would be better just to buy a Sony handyCam or something of the sort.

I have used my Sony Digital Video camera with my G4 ibook running 10.4.4 now without any difficulty. Depending upon what you are wanting in video, you might consider the nifty Casio EX S-500 digital camera. This little gem is a 5 megapixel digital camera that will record one hour of quality mpeg-4 video (on a one gig SD memory card) in a camera 3.5x2.3x.63 inches in size.

I need to buy that one when I get some money. For know I am living on my Vivitar 2.1MP with no sound, and my Palm Zire 72 which captures Windows Media Player files. The video is okay. Not great, and not poor for day video.

I am happy with my digital camera for I rarely ever print anything beyond 4x6 in size. Yes I could use a nicer camera with a zoom for insect and nature photography, but for know my cam will work. I can always use my 35mm for nature and insect photography as it has a zoom.
