Going to Italy with my new MacBook Air, where do I get a power convertor?
I just bought a new MacBook Air and am moving to Italy. Where to I find correct power cord for Europe outlets?

The Apple store certainly has such plugs. Here's their "Travel Pack." .
You can also check out local electronic stores like Radio Shack and such.
I just bought mine at Ace Hardware. They had the best prices in town and the largest selection also.

If you go the non-Apple route, keep in mind you don't actually need a "converter" as the Apple power adapters are universal, meaning they will run on any voltage and frequency used in the world. All you need is a plug adapter for the different shape and configuration of the prongs. The term "converter" usually refers to a device that also steps down the voltage, and is more expensive. They are generally not needed for most modern electronic devices, although may sometimes be needed for small appliances. I know this may be obvious, or a nit, but I do know at least one person in your situation who was needlessly sold an expensive voltage converter/adapter because neither the indivual nor the store employee who sold the device knew enough about it.

Hi,
All you need is an Adaptor for the Wall Plug Connection... Everything else will be fine...
Cheers, 🙂

Cindy, Try to buy an adapter before you leave, but if you don't have time, then buy one in the airport when you land. Once you leave the airport, they become quite hard to find.
You can actually get it right from Apple. They sell a world travel adapter kit. Check it out:
