Home Sharing won't Log In

I'm trying to set up a home share with my Apple ID but every time I type in my ID and password I get the message "Home Sharing could not be activated because the username or password was incorrect." Obviously it isn't, because I'm posting this as we speak, and I'm logged in to the iTunes store with this account. I've even tried deauthorizing all the computers I have set up, reauthoritzing them, then trying again, to no avail. What is going on here?

Unfortunately, same here. I've updated to Mavericks, the latest iTunes, and the latest Apple TV update. I turned off home sharing on every device and turned it back on, making sure I used exactly the same ID and password. Still can't use home sharing or the Remote app on my iPod touch or AirPlay from the iPod to the Apple TV.

I am having the same problem! I have had my Internet provider out TWICE. They put on a data filter and they gave me a new model. I bought a brand new wireless router. I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes. I rest both Apple TVs. And STILL, I can connect for a short period of time and then Home Sharing shuts off. This has been going on for weeks after months of everything working perfectly fine. I am beyond frustrated!
