Does ANY printer work with OSX Lion??

I have a brand new iMac and NONE of my 3 printers will work with it. Yes, I have installed the updates for the drivers. I have communicated with the tech support people for each printer (Canon, HP, and Epson) and none of them can help me. I have tried to use them wirelessly and wired, to no avail. I have installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled. I have tried every suggested idea on the printer websites.

I'm just wondering if there is a printer that actually does work with Lion? I love Lion; wouldn't trade it. But I have to be able to print for my business.

Please help!

Thanks in advance,

Summer

Am in the same boat. Have 3 lasers for my business, two OKI's and an HP. There are no drivers available for any of them. That means I cant print from the ipads, iphones, or macs. I have to use an old PC to print. Must say I'm very pi**sed off. I (naively it seems) assumed that Lion would support the same printers as Snow Leopard. Wont make that mistake again.

I had the same problem as you even after updating the drivers of my printer HP C5180 from sept 2007 with a MacBook Pro of mid 2010 : so I was not able to print via wifi with Lion.Only via an usb connection between my printer and my mac. Finally I solved the problem by changing the cable between my router (livebox 2 from Orange France) and my printer . Now I use a RJ 45 cable instead of USB cable. And finally I was able to see my printer with an IP adress automatically , as very often with a Mac By the way now I am able via wifi to print ( as before with Snow leopard ) , and also to scan (yes) that I was not able before with wifi ( only if my printer was connected to my mac via an usb cable). The Express Lane when they called me was not giving me this info : I was desappointed. I hope this could help you as it is a simple way to solve the problem for me finally.

I *just* got my macbook with OS Lion, and our office printer does not have a PostScript card. I have been told that the options are to either purchase a card or find a postscript emulator program for my macbook. Has anyone had luck with a postscript emulation program for Lion? The printer is a Ricoh, and of course, they have nothing for Lion available yet.

Thanks!

Its a Ricoh Aficio MP C3500; was told by our printer company that the printer does not support postscript. Their solution was to find a postscript emulator or, purchase the additional part for the printer to allowe it to support poscript. When the printer was installed in our office, no one was on a Mac, so the question of postscript was not discussed.

When our IT guy set up the network, the printer installed beautifully, but when it came time to print out a test page, the printer spits out a line gibberish followed by at least a ream of blank paper. So, from there, i'm not sure what to do.

What is the obsession with Postscript? for the record, Macs support Postscript, no emulator needed, but if your printer does not support Postscript it won't work with a PostScript (emulated or otherwise) printer driver on a Mac, or on a PC for that matter.

Ricoh techs must be 20 years behind the times.

Let me look that printer up and get back to you.

That took 12 seconds, Ricoh do have drivers for your printer for OSX Lion, here is a link, your IT dept guys are (at best) uninformed or maybe just lazy.
