Ipad 2: replace broken screen
Will Apple replace the broken glass for my Ipad2 which have just bought in 1 month?
And any Apple stores in Vietnam can do it?
Thank you so much!

nope, they get rich from both. Just google and you find hundred of these companies that soley FIX apple products.
Please at least try to use some semblance of logic. Why in the world would Apple be concerned about the profits of other companies?
The wiz of logic, your are back! Get this. If Apple products are of such high quality then why would there be so many people profiting from fixing Apple products? If Apple products are not of such great quality then why should consumers pay a premium for Apple products? And if Apple offers great service then why do people go to other places to fix their Apple products?
Hmmm...logic logic
Your examples just continue to not prove your main argument, which makes me wonder why you keep providing them.
I can't help finding the common thread of entitlement that runs through these threads strange, as though people really do believe that Mother Apple will kiss them and make the owies all go away if they mess up. I can't prove it by actual Apple announcements or releases, which we here would never see in any case, or even hear about directly from anyone the least bit interested in actually keeping their job with Apple, but it's pretty clear that there was if not an 'official' policy in the past that allowed local managers to, at their own discretion, do direct replacements on a case by case basis under the aegis of 'customer relations' or whatever .... then at least it was allowed by exception, to some limited extent.
Eventually, however, the word got out, and in many peoples' minds it got inflated up to an actual 'policy' that they would as a matter of course, in all cases, with no questions asked, replace your broken glass at any time and regardless of how it happened. Didn't happen, of course, couldn't happen but, when it didn't, the whining began.
And here we are. If they have indeed come out with a counter policy now, advising their managers that they're no longer authorized to do those types of replacements in the manner and to the extent that they could previously, then ....... too bad. They've taken away something you never really had in the first place.
People will sell you "Protect Me from Me" insurance, if you like. You're proud of the fact that you have it,and rightly so.
As for the argument that they should make it stronger .... silly.
I use a lot of high-end camera gear in rather risky situations. I pay extra for an "all risk" rider on my homeowner's insurance policy. It's a matter of personal responsibility.
That was eloquently stated and spot on! Great post.
Philly - I understand the risk insurance policy - I have them as well - I'm talking about the rest of the post. I think that says it all - IMO.

There's no question that we're in 100% agreement.
I wish The apple Reps would stop replying and let this be a true apple user support forum. When customers start looking at competitor products, which have come up a lot in competition, customer service may return.
You're claiming that Apple's competitors replace products when damaged by customer carelessness? Wow, I've got a bridge to sell to you.
Really?!Serious wrote:

You are apparently confused. This is a user-to-user forum. No one from Apple has been replying here.
I don't understand what all the argument is about. The fact is that the IPad2 is much more fragile than it's predecessor. If you search for "ipad1 broken glass" you won't find much results.
The fact that Apple was giving a new IPad2 is not because they're really nice, but because they acknowledge that their product has a serious flaw.
I have an IPad1 since it's release and it is still perfect. My Ipad2 has suffered from a broken glass and the case got dented. My old one is used by my 4 year old daughter for almost two years.
There is no argument. Accidental damage is not covered by the warranty. Period.
Philly_Phan, that´s basic consumer right. If a product has a fragile part that breaks easily the manufacturer should be responsible for it. If any car shows a flaw in any part, the factory should make a recall.
I´m not arguing that Apple should be reliable for all accidents that happen with their products.
As an example if you drop your phone in the water they shouldn´t be responsible for it, but if a simple sneeze could ruin your phone don´t you think the product has a flaw? That´s what i´m arguing.
If a massive portion of the customers are complaining that the screen is fragile, something should be adress about it.
As I tould here I have a Ipad 1 that has been handled by my 4 year old for as long as I own it (when it was released) and nothing happened to it).
The point is, the Ipad2 screen has flaw that any bump can ruin it.
I am not aware of any instance of a "simple sneeze" damaging an iPad.
Again, there is no argument. Accidental damage is not covered by the warranty. Period.

Do you know the meaning of "example"?
Well, as I can see u can´t have an intelligent argument, you just keep saying the same phrase. "Accidental damage is not covered by the warranty."
Products get better when people critize it and make they´re rights be known. If someone sell you a product that doesn´t function as u expected if you don´t complain you´re an idiot that don´t value the rights given to you.
This is a product meant to be used by all the family, that´s why they have all tha apps for coloring, reading children´s books, etc. As a product that everyone knows is gonna be handled by children it is expected to be resistant.
For the last time, there is no argument. Accidental damage is not covered by the warranty. Period.
