I assume you meant that you do not know the new user password.

Put your original disk in the drive and boot to it, under utilities reset your password.

Hi C and Carolyn and tc, this solution is good, and works only for those who have the original disks and know the "old" password. Good work.
The method I "took out" I wanted not be published after all, because it works without the original disks and without knowing the original password, so also a stolen mac could be entered.

No, the instructions they posted do not involve knowing the old password. And since Apple has posted the instructions on their own web site, they obviously think it's okay for that information to be out there.

It is not necessary to 'know' the old password, just having the disk is enough.
