you should try to download these zip files

go on the 10.1 archived version off flash player (adobe website):

http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp10.1_archi ve.zip

download the file, open it and launch the file finishing with the .dmg extension

and if the .dmg file in the first link doesn't work try this one:
http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp9_archive. zip

Enjoy :-)

I fould a hack that makes the sites think you have the latest (Intel) version of Flash installed. So I installed it & it works with Firefox, TenFourFox & Safari. Here's the info.

Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.

hi, just wanted to post to say ' thank you' for the link for flash player 10.1 for power pc.

I made the hideous mistake of uninstalling flash player, thinking i could then upgrade. To my horror, id made it so that i couldnt play anything where FP was needed....and i couldnt upgrade.

So the solution appeared to be to revert to the version on flash player which is discontinued but still avail to download - as from the link you supplied on this forum-.

If anyone is in a similar situation, definitely make sure you have any versions of FP deleted/unisntalled if you are trying to reinstall 10.1 for a PPC.

I then recommend doing a Disk Utility repair. This was what worked..it somehow fixed everything .

So I did this-

clicked the link for flashplayer 10.1

- downloaded it, following the link and details from Robert CH (above)

I then went to APPLICATIONS-UTILITIES-DISK UTILITY and clicked the HD icon from the top LEFT and cliked REPAIR DISK PERMISSIONS.

It takes a good few minutes to do...so please be patient.

once it has finished, RESTART the computer and click safari ir opera, or what ever browser you use, try youtube.com, click a vid and it works!

woohoo!!! ty to RCH of course 🙂
