you should try to download these zip files
go on the 10.1 archived version off flash player (adobe website):
http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp10.1_archi ve.zip
download the file, open it and launch the file finishing with the .dmg extension
and if the .dmg file in the first link doesn't work try this one:
http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp9_archive. zip
Enjoy :-)
If Robert's fine suggestions and links don't get you what you need, try this Adobe archive site:
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html
Scroll down until you find version 10.1.102.64---it's the highest version that supports PPC Macs.
THX :-)
now its working :-)
Thx now its working :-)
I have a mac osx10.5.8 power pc I tried floash player 10 with no results.
I fould a hack that makes the sites think you have the latest (Intel) version of Flash installed. So I installed it & it works with Firefox, TenFourFox & Safari. Here's the info.
Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.
 Cheers, Tom 😉
hi, just wanted to post to say ' thank you' for the link for flash player 10.1 for power pc.
I made the hideous mistake of uninstalling flash player, thinking i could then upgrade. To my horror, id made it so that i couldnt play anything where FP was needed....and i couldnt upgrade.
So the solution appeared to be to revert to the version on flash player which is discontinued but still avail to download - as from the link you supplied on this forum-.
If anyone is in a similar situation, definitely make sure you have any versions of FP deleted/unisntalled if you are trying to reinstall 10.1 for a PPC.
I then recommend doing a Disk Utility repair. This was what worked..it somehow fixed everything .
So I did this-
clicked the link for flashplayer 10.1
- downloaded it, following the link and details from Robert CH (above)
I then went to APPLICATIONS-UTILITIES-DISK UTILITY and clicked the HD icon from the top LEFT and cliked REPAIR DISK PERMISSIONS.
It takes a good few minutes to do...so please be patient.
once it has finished, RESTART the computer and click safari ir opera, or what ever browser you use, try youtube.com, click a vid and it works!
woohoo!!! ty to RCH of course 🙂

IT WORKED - I've got FB videos on both my Safari and my Firefox. I'd like to say "Thank you" to Texas Mac Man. I had reservations but did download the hack and it works PERFECTLY! I tried going to your website afterward but it told me I was restricted. Anyway, thanks again, you have relieved me of at least one headache.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
That's interesting so why oh why does one have to 'trick'? Why doesn't it just 'work' for goodness sake???
It's because the other end does a needless check for what version you're running... needless to say, nobody in power knows what is going on anymore. 😟
ok I have downloaded something and it is working for now on my desktop. Funny thing is it used to work before Adobe did the upgrade. Don't know why it would need to be upgraded..Do you know why Adobe isn't in the iPad2?
The powers that be, & most of the rest of us consider Flash to be Buggy, bloated, too CPU intensive, & prone to Malware intrusions...
yes I have often deleted Adobe readers, havn't really figured out why I did but at the time it seemed the right thing to do. :O
