When I lstart a Compressor job and Batch Monitor launches, it has started to flash up an on-screen notice - problem is it's so fast I can't read it. It then pops up every 15 seconds or so while Batch Monitor is still runing, and causes problems with other work I'm doing. How can I stop this? Even typing is tricky with these flashing interuptions.
Sounds like a "housekeeping" (permission repair, etc.) problem, but you can aways just close the Batch monitor window and use the History window to monitor your progress...
I've already tried a Permissions Repair but it didn't fix things. Clicking the History tab in Compressor does nothing, so ideally I'd prefer to leave Batch Monitor visible.
I just recorded the screen and was able to find a frame where the message is displayed - "Do you want the application "Batch Monitor.app" to accept incoming network connections?
How do I fix this?
Find the help systems for QMaster and Compressor. I think it's a simple preference fix. That window is popping up every time a network ping is received from another Macintosh. Try disconnecting the ehternet.

The popup seems to tie in with the "update every..." setting in preferences. It's still annoying the **** out of me as I still haven't found a way of stopping it.
