I updated to OSX Lion... dont know if it has something to do.. Using Outlook 2011, opening the sync services, all the panes are blank, so I cant configure it to sync the outlook calendar with ical, neither the outlook contacts with apple adress book.
Can anyone help me on this?

Problem solved...
if it matters to anyone:
In Finder, press the option key, then GO (upper menu) - LIBRARY - PREFERENCES
Then find and delete this file:
com.microsoft.Outlook.SyncServicesPreferences.plist
Exit and go to outlook sync services again... it should work now!

Today Microsoft released new service pack as I understood, will it solve our problems with sync services and will ICloud work now with Outlook? Since my last posts here I just turned ICloud off (actually that was the reason for buying Lion 😟) and I am not using it at all since. I just use the built-in sync services function in Outlook and it will sync with Ical and Address Book. Then I just use the cable to sync the Iphone via Itunes...

julgo que nao da para sincronizar o outlook c o google calendar porque o outlook so sincroniza com o calendario principal do ical ... o ical sim, sincroniza cm o google calendar... mas faz um outro calendario... ou seja ficam dois calendarios no ical... esse é o grande problema do outlook do Mac... nao sincroniza comnada online :(
esperemos que este upgrade que a Natalie refere resolva isso... seja com o google calendar seja com o icloud... é uma chatice ter de sincronizar tudo com cabos... :(
como se está a adaptar agora ao mac air? satisfeito? tem o osx lion? nao o notou a ficar lento?... voltei a instalar o leopard porque o lion fazia o mac ficar-me lento, mas tenho visto que isso ja foi resolvido...

its a shame outlook doesnt sync with nothing online...
by the way, how's Lion on speed of the Mac?! I heard it was solved? thinking about reintalling Lion again if this service pack offers that sync abbilittie with iCloud!

se me permites podes me tratar por tu, não considero falta de respeito nesta forma de "tratamento", a menos que não te agrade.
bom, com a juda de um amigo meu "entendido" em sistema Mac, resolvi a questão da sincronização dos meus calendários apena com o ical e com google calendar incluindo as categorias e agora funciona às mil maravilhas.
em relação ao icloud, ainda não experimentei, não tenho muito bem a noção de que se trata, penso que corresponderá mais ou menos ao Dropbox, certo?
quanto à questão da "lentidão" até agora nada noto, e sim é o sistema OSX Lion.
quanto ao upgrade que refere a Natalie, por agora vou esperar mais informações e indicações de outros "user´s" até porque não quero estragar o que já consegui até aqui.

When I remove the "com.microsoft.Outlook.SyncServicesPreferences.plist" the synchronisation will not start any more. Thats my problem from the beginning. It will not sync.
I see the check boxes and can put them ON and OFF but it won't SYNC my stuff.
Any solution to this?
I think only stuff in default calendar syncs. You have to put everything with no categories beyond the default one...
It ***** although... Apple Windows policies... they dont free everything because windows doesnt want us having Macs, neither Apple wants people using outlook, but apple mail...
Rather than finding a file and delting it, the simple and probably proper way to do this is as follows: Go to Outlook / Prefferences / Sync Services and toggle off all of the left hand check boxes. If you're like me and only use Outlook then not syncing Outlook Contacts to Apple Address Book, etc. is not a problem.
