Only export your name+email in EXIF?

Is there a way in Aperture 3 to only export certain EXIF information such as your name and e-mail (like in "creator") and leave everything else out of the export?

I see no reason why clients should get to see aperture, focal length, shutter speed - and worse, the keywords I've used to tag a photo.

In case everything fails, I'd probably just have to export without EXIF at all, but it would be nice to at least have my own name and e-mail address in the photos.

Thanks.

I don't see that it can be done with the export settings, but - as a work around - you could create a new version of your photo and erase the meta data and then export this version.

To erase the meta data just import a photo that has no meta data (any picture that was not taken with a camera will suffice), then set your copy right tags and lift and stamp that data onto the pictures you want to share.

I'm glad you edited your post cause I think that 1st edition was a bit harsh 🙂

Explanation: What I was after (since the beginning) was getting rid of everything (EXIF/IPTC) in my *exported* photos *except* for my name + e-mail adresse and such.

Yes I can remove the stuff from within Aperture, but that will hurt my organization. I'd like to keep it in Aperture - but not in the exports. I can select to export without any EXIF at all, that's an option. But then it won't have my name in it, for copyright etc.

I understand that I might be asking for too much here. I'm not a pro and pro's use Aperture 3 so I'm guessing I just need to figure out what they're doing: "including all", or "removing all" - and than maybe take that route too (since I believe what I'm asking in this thread, doesn't seem possible).

And that makes no sense. You started this thread asking how you could remove metadata from an exported image.

Hi Kirby,

"Include Metadata" is checked for my export preset already 🙂

As mentioned in the last post, removing keywords and ratings from the photos (versions) themselves, will hurt my organization (keywords, star ratings etc)., so that's something I would really, really like to avoid. All I'm after, is to have these things *not* included in the exports, but still keep them in Aperture for my own use.

EDIT: Okay, I see that you changed it to "include metadate" UNchecked -- yes, that would be an option. In that case, however, I will not get to keep my name and e-mail as copyright in the EXIF either, which was also what I would have liked 😉
