Wireless connection with Belkin F5D7230-4 router

My daughter has a G4 ibook with OS10.4.4. She was given a Belkin router -Model F5D7230-4 and connected it to her DSL modem via her ethernet cable. It was listed on her Airport menu, she put a check mark beside it and it worked. But she has no wireless security. Can she use AirPort Setup Assistant to properly set up this Belkin router? If so would she follow the instructions on screen?

When you go to the URL for the router, you will see what looks like a web site. This is actually the configuration interface on the router. Just like any web site, it has links to other pages, each of which pertain to a particular set of configuration parameters. There should be a link that takes you to a page with the wireless security configuration, which will contain editable fields and menus where you can specify the security settings.
