Clear .DocumentRevisions-V100

Does anybody know if there is anyway to clear or limit the size of the /.DocumentRevisions-V100 folder. right now it's only 10148 k . My question is what if it begins to grow and grow. Isn't there anyway to limit the size?

Thanks for your help.

Very strange. From what I've read, deleting <your home folder>/Library/Saved Application State should have done it. Were all the apps in question quit (and the associated windows closed) when you did that? If there's any doubt, open the apps again, close each window, then quit the app. Then delete the folder again.

Another long shot:

See what's in <your home folder>/Library/Containers.

Closed all apps, deleted the folder etc... tried everything.

My Containers folder is empty.

also all configuration changes on the dock (autostarts, adding program to the dock), Desktop-Wallpaper etc.. will not appear on next start

Rats. You're probably going to have to contact Apple.

I don't know if or how well it works in Germany, but I've heard good things about Express Lane in the U.S.

Otherwise, AppleCare, an AppleStore, or Apple Authorized Service Provider (per the Contact button at the bottom of this page).

Please post back if they come up with a solution. I haven't seen this particular problem reported here, but someone else may stumble across it.

Make at least two independent full backups of your startup volume. Boot from your recovery partition and launch Disk Utility. Check the SMART status of the internal drive. If it's not "Verified," replace the drive immediately. Otherwise, erase the volume and reinstall Lion. When you reboot, import your data from one of the backups.

I'm assuming you have only one HFS data partition on the drive. If you have more than one, back them all up and re-partition before reinstalling Lion.
