This is the "Fix", that Apple Support told me. However when the PC is rebooted the problem reoccurs.

You need to be careful running this comand, for instance in my case the LSP layer is provided by Panda AntiVirus. What Apple is effectively telling you is to disable your security software on your PC to allow iTunes to work!

They need to patch this ASAP in my humble opinion.

I have Win 7 SP1. Itunes uses 100% of CPU, and the store wont completely load.

I have AVG family safety--and I am unwilling to sacrifice my kids' internet safety for entertainment. So unless Apple fixes this quickly, I'll buy a tablet from someone else, and abandon the I-Stuff for less buggy gadgets.

I thought Apple's stuff was supposed to work just fine....!

Okay so I have the PC filter Covenant Eyes. Are you not only saying that this is my problem, but that there is currently no way to fix it that Apple has? Or they are "working on it?" And what article is that qoute from? Also, how do I check what third party or firewalls are keeping me from seeing Itunes? Cause I can't find MSINFO on "iTunes 10.5 for Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store"

Be careful when doing this. This solved the problem of the iTunes store not loading but at the same time messed up the networking on my computer. After doing the winsock reset and restarting my computer svchost was causing my cpu to be at 100% and slowing my computer to a crawl as well as disabling the internet. So after a day of googling I figured out that before doing the winsock reset you should also run the following command:

netsh int ip reset C:\netsh.log.txt

Here is the explination from the other post I found:

Sometimes your DHCP service is not able to pull an IP addresse, that means the network stack on Windows goes banana. To fix that, open command prompt with administrator privilege (click on Start -> type in “cmd” -> right click on the command prompt and choose “Run as Administrator”) and type these command:

netsh int ip reset C:\netsh.log.txt

netsh winsock reset

… then all your network configuration is reset.

Hope this helps.
