itunes store won't load

I have been through all of this myself. Trying to use the autoruns to only find Bonjour the only service listed. I tried restoring to a previous version. Completely uninstalling, removing registry entries, flushdns, netsh winsock, checked ports on firewall sw and hardware all to no avail. I had diabled both antivirus as well as firewall and still nothing. I was able to get to internet, but could not load iTunes store, nor was I able to actually log in. On a whim, I decided to completely remove the McAfee Family Protection program. I still had the Microsoft Security Essentials loaded. Once MFP was removed, I was able to sign in to iTunes account as well as load iTunes store. It took me a while to figure this out as it was working fine on my XP machine downstairs, but not on my Vista laptop or my XP machine upstairs. The common denominator for the 2 not working was MFP. The XP machine downstairs did not have MFP and therefore decided to uninstall and viola. I hope this information can help others with the same issue that I have been having.
