My new Direct TV receiver is detecting my wireless network and is asking for a security key. It will not accept my password. When I go to Airport Utility, Base Station, Equivalent Network Password I get 64 digit alphanumeric code. The DTV receiver will only accept 26 characters. DirectTV is no help. Can anyone help?

Make sure there are no apostrophe's or symbols in your network name. i.e Person's Network
I removed the apostrophe and it connected. Keep your network name to just letters and maybe numbers.
Does the Direct TV DVR really have wireless built in, or are you using an outboard third party wireless adapter with the device?
If you are using an outboard adapter, what is the make and model number of this product?
Is there any way that you could connect the DVR to your AirPort router using an Ethernet cable?
Took out the apostraphe and it connected without any further problems.

It's working now but to answer your question the installer connected it to what appears to be a modem that i believe is for the whole house DVR. I have not had a chance to really look at how they connected it.

You need to know that wireless is not supported with the Whole House setup.
If it works, great. If not, you will know why.
