What Apple app is required to open .pdf files arriving by e-mail?
Attachments to e-mails are frequently in .pdf format. I'm unable to open them in Pages, iPhoto or Keynote. Help would be appreciated.

Many thanks Alec - that was a supoer-fast bresponse.
Double clicking the file icon should automatically launch the default application (Preview) and open the file. If you have Adobe reader installed, PDF files created with Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Distiller may default to Reader as the application to open them. Either way, it takes only a double-click on the icon to open the file.
And... Single page PDFs will usually be displayed in Mail itself (as well as in other email clients).

Barry
As Alex notes, Preview is the Apple app which opens PDFs and it's the default program for doing this on Macs.
Preview should automatically open your PDFs, whether they're in a folder or attached to an email. If your Mac doesn't do this you need to fix it. You can do this from the Finder by clicking once on a PDF document (any PDF document), choosing File > Get Info and changing the Open With: item so it uses Preview to open all PDF documents.
Thjanks Dale for the extra info. Will fix for the auto opening.
Thanks Barry for your response. Will obtain a copy of Adobe Reader as alternate to the default Preview.
