Flurry screensaver

yes! i've had the same problem with my new imac g5, and i've also tried the screensaver (and the problem appears not only with flurry) in many new imac g5: each of them was affected by the same problem, maybe the problem is connected with the ati drivers..

I also have this issue. It is a horizontal line that moves from the bottom of the display to the top, over and over again. I have only observed it with the flurry screen saver so far.

I have the same issue I find it really annoying, too. It seems to me that the same "line" is visible when I scroll in Safari (for example, news.google.com).

What did you do to resolve the issue? Any suggestions?

iMac G5 2,1Ghz 20" (ISight) Mac OS X (10.4.5)

I also have this problem on both my iMac and iBook....I'm suprised that we have no further comments or solutions to this.

I only bought the iMac 2 days ago and the iBook I've had for about a year, however this problem only appeared recently on the iBook (perhaps after I had upgraded to 10.4.5)

Could this be the reason why?

Hope someone has further info on this?

iMac Intel 2GHz Core Duo and iBook G4 1.2GHz Mac OS X (10.4.5)

I am on an iMac G5 2.1, 20 inch model and do NOT have it. The first iMac G5 I had did have however. (The iMac G5 1.8, 20" model.) Not sure why. But it could be because the first model had only 64mb of vram. But that wouldn't explain why some of you with more vram still have it.

Has anyone called Apple and asked them why it's happening?

I contacted Apple Support and they quoted this info:

They said that they cannot give a timescale for a fix, but are well aware of the situation.

Unfortunatley they could be of no further help they said.



iMac Intel 2GHz Core Duo and iBook G4 1.2GHz Mac OS X (10.4.6)

New to the forum here - I haven't yet discovered how to make an original post, so I hope you'll forgive me for jumping into the middle of this post.

I've been working on Macs for years, but have had little time for customizing my Mac. Now that I have that time available, I'd like to add a custom screensaver I downloaded for free. I just can't, for the life of me, figure out the right place to put it.

I've tried the Screen Saver folder in the Library, but that doesn't seem to work. Can anyone tell me the steps to follow to get it to work?

Not to worry, I had the same question as you did when I first started. Just go to the category you want to post under, search to make sure there aren't already any posts like yours, and click post new topic at the top of the column.
