Where is my pipe?

Hi there,

When I am using the terminal window how can I type in a pipe symbol as it is not mentioned on the keyboard?

I tried the keyboard visualiser and found someting under Unicode 007 c (UTF8:7C) but don't think this is the right one.

Thanks for helping me out!

Hi there,

I might have localized the pipe on the visualisation keyboard; when I activate the visual keyboard and go for the apple/alt/shift combination (on my Belgium layout that is) then I see two slight different pipes burried under the 'l' and the 'n' key. I think that it is the one under the 'l' key I need (Unicode 007C). Problem is that the character doesn't show up when I try this combination in a writing context. Puzzle, puzzle...

Thanks for further suggestions.

Alex
