in the url box in safari, at the top of the page, on the far left just inside of the plus sign, there is a small icon that indicates what site you're looking at (an apple for apple.com, a blue f for facebook, etc.) if you click on it, it should highlight the whole url. hold down the command button (next to the space bar) and press c to copy or x to cut (copying will leave it visible whereas cutting will take it out of the url box); hold down command and press v to paste. if you want to cut or copy a url from text, such as a word document or webpage, that is not linked, highlight the whole url and use the same shortcuts (command + c or command + x and command + v) to cut and paste it.
Same way as anything else; highlight the URL, ⌘C to copy it and ⌘V to paste it. If you're pasting into a browser address bar, make sure the existing one is highlighted so that it will be replaced (otherwise the paste will just add it to the end of the existing one).
