Why can't a lot of videos play on my iPhone
Why can't I get a lot of videos to play on my IPhone? These are from regular sites, like tv guide, news sites and network television sites?

It's because a large portion of the web uses Flash and any iOS device doesn't use Flash because Apple doesn't allow it or it's too processor intense for iOS devices.
Flash is designed for computers with a bit more muscle and better cooling, they didn't expect to get the web on phones, so unless the web site makes lower grade smartphone versions of their sites your out of luck.
Most web sites want to enhance their site with more interactivity, not less, but then these lower performance devices started coming out and causing a ruckus, trying to get web sites to plain jane down their sites in order to be viewed by these smaller devices.
A lot of web sites don't bother making smaller versions of their sites, as using a smaller screen iPod or iPhone is rather a chore to use, so not as much hit traffic anyway.
Why Apple came out with the iPad. But still it doesn't allow Flash, so again the same problem arises. Also the iPad gets tiring to hold, so down goes the hit traffic again in favor of more ergonomical computing devices. 😉
The lazy and powerful rule.
The solution is to buy a hefty powerful computer and weather the changes longer when the web evolves and gets more and more complex and complicated.
Next is interactive 3D websites, lets see smartphones and poor integrated graphics computers handle that. It can't. 🙂

Thanks, is there a work around for smaller videos, such as brief news stories, or previews?
