tool bar has green arrow

All of a sudden a downward pointing green arrow has appeared on the menu bar any ideas what this is

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7)

I casn answer my own question apparently this was caused by open office awaiting to download an update

LibreOffice will also put a green arrow pointing down into a blue rectangle in the menu bar when an update is available.

I believe this icon displays the progress of "content download".
