DRM Netflix error N8151, Can please someone help me to solve this?

I just got my Macbook one week ago ,ive been trying to stream movies but that Digital Rights Management error N8151 keeps poppin up! can someone help me please.. thank you.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.1)

Netflix uses Silverlight from Microsoft as the Digitial Rights Managment for the Netflix content.


Update Silverlight here and restart your computer and browser. Even though you may have it, reinstall it again so it fixes the bad install/version.

Confirmed this is a Silverlight issue. The best thing to do is uninstall and delete preferences. Start with unisntall (instructions here) http://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight/Get-Started/Install/Default.aspx - make sure the receipts files and the app support files are gone. Also delete the Microsoft media and Silverlight-related files are deleted from the Internet Plug-in folders. After all the files are deleted, quit browsers. Restart and go to Netflix and open any program. It will prompt you to install Silverlight. Go through the steps and hopefully this resolves your issue. Thanks, Microsoft, for being a pain in the rear!

Most of the time Machintosh machines will come preloaded with Microsoft Silversight, an application that helps programs like Netflix to stream onto your computer. Rather it is an iMac or a MacBook Air they most likely use it. The standard internet browser, Safari, blocks plug-ins. Which Silversight is. Goto your status bar, click on Safari, goto Preferences, tehn to Advanced. On the checkbox 'Internet Plug-ins:' Uncheck that box and you should be good to go.
