Turning off 'Calculate Folder Size'
I cannot for the life of me find the preference setting to turn off the finder's task of calculating the size of a folder.
Whenever I select the Get Info on a folder it will usually start the beachball rolling. The only info still waiting to complete is the size so I am assuming it to be the culprit. Relaunching the Finder is often the only way out. The extra info is not worth the aggravation.
I clearly remember in the past being able set this as a preference but may be a recollection going back to OS 9.
