Logic Pro 8 Upgrade to 9

I just recently purchased a brand new iMac which obviously comes with Lion already installed. I have purchased and been using Logic Pro Studio 8 on my MacBook Pro for a while now and have found that Logic 8 wont work with the new operating system. This in itself is a little upsetting but does this also means I am unable to purchase the upgrade for logic studio 9 and have to purchase the full studio version of logic 9? Making my logic 8 full studio pretty much useless for future endevours... If there is an answer to this someone else in these forums, I apologize, someone re-direct me if so.

Hope someone can help 🙂

This is true, but the full version on the app store is just logic 9 without all the intruments/audio content/programs that where included in the boxed version of logic studio.

I managed to order the boxed upgrade from logic 8 to logic 9 at KMR Audio. Unfortunately I don't think they have any left now, but it is worth searching the net as there may possibly be a few places in the world with a some left over or people who are selling their own copy (ebay etc.).
