If you handed over the iPad to your son right after you made the purchase, he must have made in app purchases while playing the game. Once you enter your password to buy from iTunes or the App Store, your account will be open for 15 minutes allowing for the purchase of additional apps or in app purchases without having to reenter your password. If you can continue purchasing, you extend the 15 minute time limit.

You may want to ask your son if he made in app purchase.

You can click on report a problem and ask for a refund, but the app stores stated policy is all sales are final.

No, it should not ask for it everytime, I don't want to re-enter it every time I buy a new song, book or whatever when I am in the Store. What you should do if you are going to let your children use it without supervision is go into Restrictions and turn off in-app purchases. And when you buy them a game wait 15 minutes before they can play.

The same has just happened to me - I bought the game and now have received 2 bills - one for 23.79 and one for £39.99 - both for brains! bought by my son whilst playing Zombie Farm!!! He doesnot know my password - and is only 6 so didn't understand what he was doing!. How can Zombie Farm justify charging so much for these brains??? Can't Itunes look into this - as I can imagine I am not alone with this and it has happened to many others!!

Unfortunatly its not an itunes or apple problem. They give you a 15 minute grace period so you dont get annoyed at every little purchase and after that they will, 100% be asked for a password for every in app purchase of brains.

Apple do give you the tools to stop this though. In the settings, restrictions for your ipad you will find the option to disable in app purchased totally. So even if you hand over your ipad straight after installing then they will not be able to make andy purchases.

Its unlikely that you can get your money back, while you know your honest and it was a mistake the developers do not. If they refund you then whats to stop everyone from buying things, using them and then claiming it was a mistake?
