Is there a way I get can my Dell V305 printer to work with my Mac?

I "inherited" my son's Mac Book Pro but when I tried to hook it up to our printer, Dell V305, it wouldn't work. I tried downloading the software from the Dell site, since we don't have the disks, but it wouldn't work. Is there a way I can get our printer to work with the Mac?
