PEOPLE! There is a simple solution to this (I figured this out after calling the numbers to Apple Inc. listed on this thread.) iDVD is done and over with . So sad, so stupid. WHY!? But don't panic. Just open up your app store on your comp (easy access from your apple menu) and search for DVD creator. The version I am using is free and works perfectly - you can create different chapters and what not. OR you can buy the upgraded version with more options for 20 bucks OR there are several different programs on there comprable to iDVD. yay! MAKE VIDEOS EVERYDAY!

Actually I called Apple Support and explained that iDVD was supposed to be included in my preloaded software when I ordered my iBook, and they sent me the software on a disc and I downloaded it to my computer.

I found it much easier to use than DVD Creator. DVD Creator was very frustrating to use because frequently the projects would not be accepted into their "burn bin". I have no idea why this would not work but I am very glad I have iDVD as I use it to make game films for our local high school soccer team.

Yes, there are programs that will put a movie on a DVD. I have tried most of the other substitutes including Toast, Burn, and others. None of them come anywhere near the ease-of-use and power of iDVD. IDVD is specifically designed to work with iMovie.

With iDVD you can easily and quickly create DVDs with menus and graphics almost on the level of what Hollywood can do.

IDVD is easy to get. It is available on disk as part of iLife 11.

IDVD is a wonderful piece of software and well worth the low cost of $40.
