@serendippity:
Totally agree with you. And I'm one of those "fanboys", by the way. I was quite surprised when I got my iPad and it didn't have an alarm clock. I then went looking for 3rd-party ones. I found one that seemed to fit the bill and I paid for it. Now it doesn't work. Or it works only sometimes, which of course isn't acceptable because time keeps on running, while "sometimes" only runs some of the time. It's funny, 'cause sometimes I'll bring my iPad out with me and open the cover only to have the alarm clock immediately and annoyingly go off: hey, buddy, you're hours late! And then at other times the app gets all confused and loses the ability to set a new alarm. This requires me to uninstall and reinstall the app, after which time I have only a few days left before it goes all weird again. So yeah, I totally hear you.
The strange thing is that I just went to the iPad page on Apple's site and, lo and behold, it shows an alarm clock app as one of the built-in apps. Is it possible that some iPads came with a clock and others did not? If so, where can I download the official Apple clock app?
