Hi Chris CA,
I would normally agree, but I am part of a committee at school where we examine apps for all types of reasons...clarity of UI, breath of functionality, use in grade levels Pre-School through 12th grade, etc. We offer a computer science course at the Upper School designed to teach students how to write apps. We use the apps in my iPad, and others, as a way to demonstrate what makes for a good app and what makes for a bad app. Anyway, blah, blah, blah...I have a lot of apps only for the reasons above...thus the reason for owning the 64GB model.
Interestingly, I did delete ALL my timer/alarm apps when this mysterious behavior surfaced. I thought they were a prime suspect. Disappointingly, the chirping continued.
But, I understand...the number of apps complicates this search and seizure operation significantly. I am really hoping the fellow who posted that he had the same double chip every hour on the hour from 9 am to 6 pm returns to the thread and gets a chance to look at my list and compare. That should significanly narrow down the list of suspects.
11:00 am. Chirp Chirp. Ha! Ha! That cracks me up to have it chirp while commenting in a thread on the very issue. It's taunting me.
I apologize for asking for help in a situation where I have dramatically complicated things by having so many apps. But, I think you understand I am stuck. I am sure this is not endearing me to the participants in this tread who are really trying to help me figure out where the source of the problem lies.
BTW, your idea of doing a backup and then starting from scratch has not been forgotten. If nothing else, if would verify that it is an app if the chirping went away when all the apps were gone (except for native apps). Right?
