Hi Heather,
Greg is right. Unfortunately, the app that was causing our problems was Almu:Alarm with Music Gold. The icon used for the app says Holiday Alarm on it. This is the link to that app:
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/almu-alarm-with-music-gold/id463103928?mt=8
I only provide this to make double sure you indeed do NOT have this app.
You can make triple sure you don't have this app by going to your home screen and then swiping your fingers across the screen to the RIGHT. This will bring up your Search Screen. Start typing "ALmu..." If you accidentally acquired the app (maybe someone in your house downloaded it on your family iTunes account and it got imported to your iPad via iCloud) the icon for the app will appear. Tap it and your iPad will go to the app wherever it's lurking on your iPad. Then follow Greg's directions for shutting off the alarm.
If that is NOT it, then your DOOMED! 😢 Ah...just kidding. One thing you could do to help diagnose the problem is to check any of your alarm clock apps (of any type) and look for any and all icons on the screen of every one of those apps. Just press all those icons and see if one gets you to settings. You might discover by this trial and error method the offending app and the place in that app to remove the alarm.
Another thing you can try is to manually set the time on your iPad to just before you have heard the alarm in the past and see if it consistently goes off. To do this, click on your Settings app. Click on "General." Click on "Date & Time." Turn off "Set Automatically." You will then see "Set Date & Time." Adjust the dials for a minute or two before you think the alarm will go off. Wait and see if the alarm rings. Repeat this for other times to see if you can determine exactly what is the pattern for the alarms. Is it every hour on the hour? Every hour on the half-hour? Does the alarm go off only for a certain time duration...say 9:00 am to 3:00 pm? The more information you can gather like this the closer you will get to figuring out which app has these alarm settings.
Lastly, I am assuming you are using an iPad. So, Siri is not involved here. I only mention that because for all we know, it may be possible to say to Siri on an iPhone 4S..."Siri, please ring an alarm every half hour on the hour every day from 6:30 am to 9:30 pm." Or something like that! I would imagine you'd remember doing this, however. 🙂
Keep us posted. I know how frustrating this can be.
Best Regards, Mr. Luigi
