"Streaming Buffer Size" pop-up menu does not exist under Advanced when I use iTunes - Preferences - Advanced. How can I increase buffer size?

And me! I got a faster DSL service, and now everything freezes after a short while: iTunes, YouTube, other video sites...

What do I have to do? cancel faster service and go back to slow old AT&T????

I was having an issue with a radio stream re-buffering constantly, and went to double-check by buffer setting and discovered that Apple had removed the control for buffer size at some point.

I struggled long with the streaming buffer problem of iTunes and indeed could solve it with increasing the buffer size, which features has been removed in iTunes 10. And this without updating the instructions by Apple!

I can't believe this can't be addressed by Apple. I sent my new Apple Mini for repair to fix the streaming problem. They said they changed the logic box (?) but bottom line, it still does not work; I have an Imac and a Ipad that works perfectly well, using the same wifi connexion. So, the connexion cannot be the problem. Looks like the apple mini, when it works, is slighlty ahead of the Imac though, wich indeed suggest it buffers less but then keeps buffering. Apparently, on PC you can change the buffer as well as put the priority on speed rather than quality, meaning you can lose in quality but it does not drop.

I bought the apple mini exclusively for watching videos and streaming .... I regret. I am now using the Ipad to send the video to the apple tv .... bricolage....

Same here, the only reason I have to use other than iTunes for stream is this. Come on, Apple!
