How to remove MagicJack APP Completely?

iPadUser1111I did the same a couple of months back, after a week I got an email saying it was not possible to delete the device. I hope you had better luck than I did. I have yet to find a way to remove a device in the Majic Jack list of known devices on my account.

Have you or anybody else figured out how to fix this?

Actually I was able to change the number. Here are the steps.

1) Remove the app from your device.

2) Login to my.magicjack.com

3) Click on Account / Account Details

4) Go to your device name and then click on the drop down for the Number of device and then assign the nubmer of your choice.

5) Now re-install app and sign in

6) The app should have the changed number now.

So I contacted support at MJ i am in a similar boat i logged in with an old account and then when I tried to switch to my current account I got the error message. Support said only way to remove it is a full wipe and reload. An I tried it and it worked.... gonna try a restore and see if it is still working otherwise only way to remove the app is a full wipe... and reload

The solution:

First go to Magic Jack web account

click on "Account" Tab

You will see list of devices and its name on it.

click the name of the divice (higlighted in blue)

click on clear and Clear the name

give new name

and submit

and go to ur magic jack app and login

It worked for me.

I tried the above fix of renaming the app and also tried renaming my iPhone. Neither of those solutions worked for me, BUT after a long and admittedly frustrating live chat with Magic Jack's customer service, the representative was able to remove the device from the app on the old account and I am now able to use it with my new one. The caveat is that I did need to know the account info (name, email, address) for the old account. This was not a problem for me, since the new magic jack was a second one for use as a business line, but obviously this might not help someone who has purchased a second hand iphone from a stranger and doesn't have that info. Hopefully this helps some of you, anyway!

I had to put in the email and password used to setup magic jack free app. If expired, you can

go into your account on magic jack site to renew and auto renew the free calling on the iphone app.
