Download stack filling up with docs named 4a696d4c, cont'd.

Found an old thread, now archived, with this title. It ended back in March 2010. Here's what seems to be the scenario:


Download folder shows files named 4A696Dc4 when viewed from the Dock.


If I look at the folder in the Finder or via the terminal, those files aren't there. This led me to kill the Dock process via Activity Monitor, and then the files did not show up again in the Dock view.


From the other archived discussion, it appears that this behavior may be associated with Speed Download, but the developer said there that he had never seen it occur. I'm also not sure it's confined to Snow Leopard, but the other thread was in this section, so I put this one here too.


I can't say, but I thought I'd post something here for posterity. :-)
