I can't get iCal on my MacBook Pro to sync with iPad 2. It syncs just fine with my iPhone. With my iPad connected to the laptop, I go to Info on iTunes and click sync with iCal and it just doesn't happen. My contacts work and I can sync photos and music but not the calendar.
If you have several calendars as choices in the section below Sync iCal Calendars - have you selected each one to sync or selected Sync All Calendars for all of them to sync?
I did Sync all
Are you sure that the calendars didn't sync? In the calendar app - you can tap the Calendar button at the top left to show all of the calendars. Make sure they are all selected by tapping show All Calendars.
The calendar button at top left shows all calendars. ..... The iPad will sync only if it’s physically connected to my laptop. And an event that originates in the iPad will not sync to my phone no matter what. My laptop and iPhone sync is seamless so I thought syncing all three devices would be as well.
I'm not at my home Mac now and can't remember what the Info tab in my iTunes set up looks like but is there an option to sync over the air that must be checked? Are you using MobileMe?
Read this and see if any of this applies to you. The thread talks about duplicates but the just of syncing calendars is covered, I think.

I'm using MobileMe, and the info tab has no option to sync over the air. But maybe there's an iPad setting i'm missing that will hook it up with MobileMe? I'll look around some more, and i'll check out that link. thanks, Demo!

I don't use MobileMe, therefore I know nothing about how it works. My calendars sync fine and I was try to cover the basics with you.
