The 4 is a very good phone. The 4S brings some better specs, the form factor is very nice and the retina Display is a huge advantage. You will also have access to the new OS.

It is your choice if you want to wait but no one here can speculate about the future.

That's the trouble with reading and believing rumour websites. They are frequently wrong.

If those sites hadn't got your expectations up falsely, you may not have been disappointed now.

You will have to make that decision yourself, we cannot do it for you. Take a look at the specs and see what you think. If it were me, I wouldn't think twice. The 4S is a significant upgrade from the 3G. I will be upgrading a 4 and passing it down to my wife (non-techie) to replace her 3GS. A few of the upgrades you would be looking at are Siri, FaceTime, WAY better camera w/flash (not to be confused with the Flash software), rear facing camera, retina display, faster processor speed, more memory (how much more depends on which one), and many more. But the final decision is yours alone.
