Static sound coming from the Thunderbolt Display speakers

I have bought a new Thunderbolt Display and connect it to the 2011 MacBook Air. Both latest Firmware updates has been installed, for the MBA as for the Thunderbolt Display. Each time I play a media with some audio (music or video) and stop, the speakers are emiting a static humming sound for about 30-45 seconds and stop. I can hear the humming sound starting once I star the music or video, but it gets cover by the media playing.

Anyone has this problem?

My display is still under the 14 days period trial, so I would probably just bring it back and take another one, but as no one as discuss this problem, I want to know if I'm alone or not.

I went on a two week vacation, and when I came back, my monitor was buzzing badly. It increases with brightness, so I assume that it's a faulty power supply. Bottom line is that it's a hardware problem, but it's only affecting less than 1% of us, so Apple isn't about to do a recall or anything. It isn't, like they say in the "Silicon Valley" tv show... Apple Maps bad.

However, I'll turn down the brightness for a bit, and wait to see if Apple figures it out. There's a small chance that their last OS update introduced the error.

I have the same issue since i bought my 27"thunderbolt display 3 years ago. It comes and go.

I have tried many useless solutions.

Last 3 months in Brazil, that f@@##ing noise is making me really mad.

I ve called Apple service today and they try to ignore that issue as not knowing it. I showed them how many threads are on apple community about this and they told me to take my 27" display to apple store for investigation. They said there is no recall and nothing on their systems about that.

For sure this is not a unknown problem and they should have already guides to fix this issue since is a 4years problem.
The best thing i can do is go to court even though is not more on warranty, printing all this discussion to be attached together. Im sure at least it will be replaced for a new one or my money back as this issue started 6 months later i bought it.

Anyone still have the problem and find a legal solution thought apple store/service as a free replacement or a fix on that? Please let us know.
