iPhone 4s 16GB or 32GB?

I am thinking the same I should get the 16 Gb since I have a 32 Gb iPad, but I am little afraid because of the size of the images and 1080 video, but in the other way I will have almost all the apps in the iPad...

What to do !?

It depends upon how much of a technogeek you really are. For a true gadget geek the only real answer to 'How much memory do I need?' is:

Get the largest amount of memory you can afford.

It will always make things simpler and smoother to have free space when needed.

It has always been my experience that memory usage, like spending, expands to fill the available space so time spent trying to figure out whether 16/32/64GB is enough for you is time wasted.

For me it was a simple choice...64GB. I know 32 isn't enough because my iPhone 4 is 32 GB and it is full.

I always have my iPhone with me, and I only have my iPad2 with me most of the time. Therefore, my iPhone has almost everything that I might need on it and with 64GB I can remove the 'almost'--at least until some new whiz bang thing I just can't live without comes along. 😀

However, as a phone, simple music device, and PDA only I could probably get by on 8GB but it wouldn't be as useful to me--or as much fun.

I have a 64GB iPad2, and I pre-ordered the 64GB iPhone 4S this morning. I would rather have more space because I can always find "just one more" cool app, and I wanted to be able to have all of my music onboard as well as to be able to use the 4S's camera as my main camera. The 4S is going to enable me to leave my point and shoot camera and my iPod at home (am carrying them both while I still have a Droid), so I wanted as much memory as I could get. I don't want to have to juggle things on and off the iPhone (this is a main reason why I don't use my 16GB iPod touch as much as I might) - I just want it all there when I want it. Plus, I would be mad if I got a 32 and then realized I needed more memory. $100 doubles your space, so if you can afford it, why not?

Well I'm going to go for the 16 Gb I don't really see the point in anything bigger, especially with icloud..

Now I am mixed up. With the advent of the iCloud...which is suppose to be your storage unit in Mac heaven, why would most people need to spend the extra bill or two for more than 16gb on the iPhones? I have an iPad 2 with 32 gb and it is plenty of space for tons of photos, books, games, etc. Having iCloud would free up a lot of space since with a lot of apps I simply do not use them each and every day...if I need an app or want to show family some photos I should be able to seamlessly bring down what I need...and when I am finished back up it goes into the iCloud. I think that is a brilliant idea to have clouds, so why do we need all that storage space on our phones?

The advent of iCloud can indeed reduce the memory footprint required in the iPhone for some, perhaps a large percentage, of iPhone users.

The main question is just how much more than 5GB of iCloud space is needed for <generic your> use. If none then an 8GB or 16GB iPhone would suffice. If <generic you> need more than 5GB the question then becomes one of a one-time-charge (higher cost for higher memory) vs. an ongoing charge for extra iCloud memory.

I've already ordered the 64GB. If it turns out to be too little for me at least I tried 😀

What about the new iTunes Match service? You can get your whole iTunes library synced to your phone without using your space. I was wondering whether I made a mistake getting the 16GB model instead of the 32 but this really puts my mind at ease. For 4 years I can have access to my library for the same cost as upping to the 32GB version ($100).

One question though, how much room will the 1080p video take up?

I have 21 GB of music on my 32GB iphone 3GS, but am thinking I really don't need my WHOLE library on my iPhone! Plus, with iCloud that makes things a bit easier. Is it only 5 GB the icloud???

So, now I'm curious about the video aspect with regard to space. I planned on buying the 32GB iphone 4S but now am leaning towards 16GB! I may buy the iPhone 5 when it comes out or the year after so dont want to spend too much on the 4S. I'd even wait but my 3GS is in bad shape!
