How do you activate siri on iPhone 4S?
Is it an like an app on your homescreen that you have to click and open, then push the button to talk? or what?

I had the same experience. When I got the iphone4S Siri came with it. After backing up my apps & all, Siri didn't show up. Instead voice control replaced her.
This is what I did to re-activate Siri:
1. Go to Settings
2. Go to General
3. Go to Restrictions
4. Scroll down and look for Siri. Make sure Siri is ON (and Explicit Language is ON)
5. Go back to Settings
6. Go back to General (by this time a button for Siri will show up). Make sure Siri is ON
Siri is then re-activated.
