How can you change your iPhone purchase to be shipped to a place other than your billing address?

I do not believe that you can change it at all.

It will ship to your billing address. This is the way it has been in the past as well.

Once you have submitted your order, when you receive confirmation you can change the shipping address as long as it is still "processing"

Once it is being "prepared for shipping" You cannot change it Except trough the shipper.

The last time, Verizon would only ship to the billing address. On the advice of the Verizon customer service rep, I changed my billing address to where I wanted it shipped (work), ordered the phone and then changed the billing address back once the phone had arrived. Verizon doesn't allow you to change your billing address until you've received and paid one bill with the original billing address, by the way.

Unless the policy has changed recently, an iPhone purchased for use on an existing AT&T or Verizon number can be shipped only to the billing address for that number. The only way to change it is to change your AT&T or Verizon billing address, which isn't likely to be practical for most people.

I ordered through the apple store and have been able to change my shipping address on my order after it went to "In Progress". I am an existing ATT customer.

I did the same, ordered through Apple and changed the shipping address while my order showed "Processing Items". I am an existing AT&T customer. In addition, I spoke to an AT&T rep and he said you can change the shipping address when purchasing the phone, and they are waiving it this one time for all purchases.

Had same problem Friday morning. They would not send to my billing PO Box. Called ATT they did not have any problem shipping to home address. It was done on the phone. ATT was great.

The process was pretty stupid in that the online ordering should have let me choose a billing and a shipping address.

My orders have now switched to "prepared for shipment"

Mine also now says preparing for shipment.

Verizon will ship to any address you provide to them. I've been a Verizon Wireless customer since 1999. My iPhone 4s order will be shipped to an address other than my billing. It even shows it plain as day in my confirmation email. I would take a screen shot and show everyone, but I don't want to give out my address (obviously). But you can ABSOLUTELY have something shipped to an address other than your billing. I've had this done MANY times over the years. The reason for this is that a lot of parents pay for their kids' phones at college and such. So obviously, the shipping address can be different. As long as the billing information is the same as the shipping. That's the important thing.
