My Ipod volume won't turn down. What can I do to get it to turn down?

Setting the Maximum Volume Limit

You can set a limit for the maximum volume on iPod nano and assign a combination to prevent the setting from being changed.

To set the maximum volume limit for iPod nano:

1 Choose Settings > Playback > Volume Limit. The volume control shows the current volume.

2 Use the Click Wheel to select the maximum volume limit.

3 Press the Center button to set the maximum volume limit.

4 If you don’t want to require a combination to change the maximum volume, choose Done.

While setting the volume limit is a nice work around, it's not really a solution to the problem.

I discovered today that I can't turn my volume down either. As a matter of fact, when I press the "-" button the volume goes up as well. This all started happening after the latest firmware update. Is noone else having this problem?

I have the same problem. I can't turn the volume down. The scroll bar goes all the way to the left, until there's no blue color at all, but the volume remains unchanged. I can turn it up louder, though.

I'm having the same problem with my ipod 4 (the 16GB)!

It randomly came on playing music out of no where when i turned my radio off (listening to my favorite station) when i snatched it up to stop it from playing any more "Down On Me" by Jeremih ft. 50 cent and i noticed no matter how many times i clicked the two little buttons on the side nothing happened, so i tried turning it down with the volume stick. Still Nothing. So i tried doing them both at the same time pushing bottons and slidding the volume thingy down, it didnt work eaither (stupid but hey i had to try). So finally i just turned off my volume through the volume control.

Not Happy. (-.-)

i really need my ipods music back please. What should i do?
