Power on self-test

I have been having some issues with my screen flickering. I ran a Apple hardware test today and it passed. The Power on Self-Test states that it Failed

Failure type: Memory

Memory Slot: DIMM 2/DIMM Riser A

When I check Memory it says that This DIMM Riser A/ Dimm2 status is OK

Just confused should I be replacing my memory? I just went back to check the Diagnostics and the power on self test is no longer even listed.

Catching memory problems is excruciatingly difficult. You can run memory tests for days and find nothing.

But the power-On Self Test and other memory tests do not produce false positives. If they say it is bad, you should believe it.

You can bet that it is only corrosion that is the issue, and swap them around if you like (removing and inserting cleans corrosion off the gold contatcts). Sometimes swapping the modules around in a predicatble way gives you different symptoms. I suggest you mark the suspect module so that you do not lose track of which one it is. Do not obliterate the maker's label, as that is your ticket to possible free replacement.

But my money is on exactly what the message said: The module is BAD.
