Here's the FIX for iCLOUD not sending the Verification Email.

I spent all day (yesterday) trying to resolve this. Here's my FIX.

1. Create a new email address (I made a new Gmail account)

2. Go to https://appleid.apple.com/

3. Click manage accounts.

4. Sign in (with old/original email address), and change your Primary email address to your NEW Address.

5. Your icloud should verify right away.

You make think creating a new email is to much work, but I tried everything, I even called apple and they wanted me to pay 29.99 for apple care.... I just wanted a FREE ANSWER and HERE IT IS.

Thanks Favot. A perfectly ridiculous problem, but your solution worked.

I couldn't even change my email back to the original - got all the "your account has been changed" messages just fine at all addresses, but could not get the account verification message to my original email address ever. I did get the verification email for the new address, but it did go into my spam folder (unlike all the other messages from Apple).

Very frustrating.

I actually have this same issue and have a support case open with Apple. Great engineer I am working with, but still no resolution. I have been trying for almost a month to get a viable AppleID. In my case, it is an alias of my corporate mail account. I have asked if this was the issue, and told no, but I am suspect. However, I have created a completely new mailbox and the same behavior occurs. Frustrating.

You are not the only one Apple can't email. I purchased Mountain Lion from the online Apple store and while I can get automated email responses to my email address, direct emails from support and the actual license & link emails don't arrive (yes, I checked junk mail). The email address is correct - verified with three different people. People who do not work for Apple are able to reach me using it.

Today an Apple support person asked for an alternative email to contact me, and it worked. Could they have some kind of filter in place for outgoing mail? It can't be a spam filter on my email address, because it's a personal domain.

I made my purchase 3/29 and won't get my email link until tomorrow according to support, so this is a significant problem as far as I'm concerned. I wish Apple would fix it.

I had the same problem. After much frustration, I found that I had two other, older Apple IDs (not email addresses) that used the the same email address as the one I was trying to create/convert my Apple ID to. Click on the link "Find Out" on the My Apple ID page to see if you have other Apple IDs associated with a particular email address. You need to log in to manage each unused Apple ID and change the associated email to something else; don't worry about verification. You can then sucessfully create and verify your desired email address as a new Apple ID and use it for iCloud, App Store . . .Don't Know!

Similar situation here. I am trying to add another email address to my Apple account but the verification email does not come through. I have no filters in place. Opened a ticket with Microsoft to verify the email address (Outlook/Hotmail) is 'clear', they see nothing preventing emails from coming through. Ran a Fiddlercap session to record traffic and nothing from Apple appeared.. Without the verification email,I will have difficulty transferring apps and music to my new laptop and syncing to other Apple devices. I am frustrated over this whole experience.
