I am a Telus Mobility cellular rep, I have activated dozens if not hundreds of Apple IDs for new iPhone users. As of today I had 3 new Apple IDs verify. One user had a yahoo.com email, one with a hosted email with either Telus or Shaw, and my own Gmail account, none of the users had any email in our junk folders from Apple. I even had my old verification email from a year ago, which I launched the link to and it asked to resend a verification email, still nothing. Apple is clearly screwing up.
For my clients I was only able to speak with one afterwards, he said the email did come through. As for mine when I tried to reverify my email after switching accounts, it took to the 2nd morning after and I had 7 verification emails that pumped into my inbox. I had clicked the resend verification a bunch of times and changed my email to a different one, then back again to the original trying to force and email. In the end I just had to wait for apple to get around to it.
Hi for all, here is you solution for all of you,
When you creat an Apple id for the first time, it may happen the sometime the confirmation mail isnt sent to you mailing adress, unfortunetly; and hopefully there is a way to refresh those bogs by resetting the password of the account created :
1- creat the apple id here :
2- go throught this link to reset the password of the account already created a few second ago
You will receive an email notification to your mailling adress wich was used to creat your Apple id
Naw, go throught this mail and clic on the link to reset your password
******************************************************************************** ***********ones its done .......
3- clic on this link to manage your account :
Enter the apple id and the new password wish is naw correctly set up, then clic on verify my email adress, here we go naw you will find the mail confirmation on your mailling adress, that you can verify it, just clic on the link on the received mail on you inbox.
GOOD LUCK for all.
Apple Support Comunities.
If you downloaded your apps using an apple id (A) you cant update them using an apple id (B).
The same apple id wish was used to download must be used to update, else it will not and never work.
try to make sure that your apple id is correctly created :
if not nothing will work
if yes, sent the email notification that the system will propose to you in the same page by clicking on NEXT button.
well i,ve just done wot you said numerous times and im not getting the email which says click to verify, but i am getting the email to reset my password and account which i have done numerous times, and my server isnt down coz im getting other emails from apple just not the final one to verify. bloody frustrated now, its gonna get thrown through the bloody window in a minute.x
i so hate being hekd to ransom, and this is what it feelslike! Purchased itunes apps yesterday on my iphone and today its asking me to verify my account as this is a new device - what the??? have credit in my account but cant spend it whilst the coins sales are on is this done on pupropse or what? Still waiting for that non existant verification email and a reply to my email to customer support! thanks for the high priced nothingness
Have been noticing the same, myself. Tried to reset mine earlier. The site said the email had been sent, but when I checked my messages, I didn't see anything.
I finally saw it arrive at my work email address instead of my home (I probably made that change on purpose in my account settings, but forgot about that)... but it wasn't until *after* I got home from a meeting/dinner, and by that time, the 3 hours had expired, so I couldn't complete the process.
However, I did notice that the message took 20 minutes to arrive (I turned on all headers in Thunderbird to see the delivery/receipt times):
Date: Fri, 22 Jun 2012 20:07:28 +0000 (GMT) -- so, 16:07:28 my time (GMT -0400)
Delivery-date: Fri, 22 Jun 2012 16:27:29 -0400
So I'd suggest giving it some time and see if it finally arrives, but yeah... something's wonky somewhere. Wouldn't surprise me if my ISP was to blame, but considering I'm getting stuff from others pretty much instantly (I have a message from a client that arrived, apparently, in 3 seconds), I'm not certain.
Edit to add that the email from Apple for my 2nd attempt to reset my password just came through and, again, it took 20 minutes:
Date: Sat, 23 Jun 2012 01:15:26 +0000 (GMT)
Delivery-date: Fri, 22 Jun 2012 21:35:26 -0400
At least it's consistent.
