How do I enable multitasking gestures in iOS 5.0 on iPad 1?

"iOS 5 includes a few new moves and shortcuts to help you get around even quicker on your iPad: Using four or five fingers, swipe up to reveal the multitasking bar, pinch to return to the Home screen, and swipe left or right to switch between apps."

How do I enable these gestures? I have upgraded to iOS 5 on my iPad 1 and do not see this setting in the general tab of settings.

Proving that it doesn't take much more than persistence to get Apple to blink on some issues.

I installed ios 5.0.1 and i am very happy that apple added the MTG.

But did also solved the issue with the ram because i noticed with 5.0 that when am runing to much

programms at the same time it hangs sometime but also that games or even simply playing piano it hangs i think

that this has to do with ram because i didnt updatet to ios 5.0.1 but did a clean install i do not had the time to test so does anyone know or they solved it??

anyway i do not bother because i dont use my ipad for heavy progams or games am just wondering.

regards Luca

I will not update my ipad1.

Close to 60,000 views with OS5 & Ipad1.

Granted some have found a work around, the "slow and crashing" nonsense.

I bet Apple sends you all $100 worth of iTunes just for the hassle.

Since I begain using Apple products I have never skipped an update and have never had problems. I guess technology just hates you.

Never a problem in 6 years till lately.

The point, and the case with 60,000 views, or 6 million, maybe you missed it,

was/is other peoples problem, not mine this time coming here first to simply check is the point.

A major handshake should of been in place to omit iPad1's this round.

Your iPad 2 was made for the OS5 update by defaiult, not the iPad1's.

So that's roughly 6 months using Apple products. Any reason to stay at 10.6.8 on your iMac?

I have to agree, with only an iPad2 & iMac, not much to go wrong.

A handy tip,

If heading on tour to Europe,

It's not a good time to click Ok updating a 3Gs iPhone prior to flight.

Might not have time before flight to solve a dead phone. Just the facts headsup.
