Error 3200 while restoring
I was restoring my iPad from iTunes when I got error 3200 and the process stopped. Surprisingly I had restored my iPhone with the same computer an hour back. Any help would be appreciated.

We're in the same boat, same error 3200 over here.
yeah same error here aswell, unknown error 3200
Seems everyone trying to udate to IOS5 having the same issue so wait it out a while hopefully they will fix this issue soonI called Applecare they know its happening
oh good, its not just me then! same unknown error 3200. guess we have to wait and see
Same thing here. I tried killing my screesaver and unplugging every USB device. Then I restarted, plugged in the iPad all by itself on the USB bus. This time it backed up. Then it extracted the software. Then it restored the firmware, now it says it is restoring apps, then I bet it does music, video, etc. I am VERY hopeful.... The idea for killing all the other USB devices was an Aple article the error message led to. I have to say that I have been with Apple since the Apple ][ days and this is the worst upgrade I have ever seen as far as the amount of failures, the various problems and delays. This is NOT the time Apple should have chosen to look this bad. I shudder at what the newspapers and TV will be saying tommorrow. My Apple stock is shuddering too.
Same crap here too **** apple!
same error on both my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 (3200)
There will be an update sooner or later.
It all went smoothly with my iPhone 4 but my iPad 2 and my sons iPod touch 4 is having this 3200 error.
Most frustrating.
Same issue here. I've even restarted my PC (yes, no MAC, sorry) and tried again after. No chance. Also tried it whilst having internet security software disabled. Still no luck. I hope they'll get this sorted soon! 😟
yep, it's apple at its best. It's either an overloaded server or a bug. Either way you will have to wait... :-(
ITS THE SERVER EVERYONE..JUST KEEP TRYING..ABOUT 1 BILLION PEOPLE ARE TRYING THIS UPDATE!
CHECK THIS ARTICLE http://http://thenextweb.com/apple/2011/10/12/apples-ios-5-upgrade-servers-are-s lammed-causing-3200-or-internal-error-update-issues/
Right guys i had the same problem.... what u need to do is restart the laptop and then instead of update press restore then it will ask restore and update click yes and then when it asks to back up DONT... then let it go threw and u will have ios5 after that go to itunes and back up from earlier
I received this error twice. I was able to backup, update then restore with no problems after rebooting my laptop. For what it's worth, I disconnected my iPad2, rebooted then re-connected my iPad.
Just got off of the phone with Apple Support about the issue. It's because so much traffic is going to apple, the servers are cluddered. She said keep trying!
Keep trying, I was getting 3200 and 5000 error on my iPad iOS upgrade, and eventually got it to work. Took about an hour before I was successful.
