Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
When I was on iOS4, I had about 6.5Gb free on my 16Gb 3GS phone.
After the iOS5 update, I only have 1.56Gb free.
Itunes has 5.2Gb of "other" being on here, but doesn't tell me WHAT it is exactly.
How do I get rid of this "other"? Reading around tells me that I have to restore, but I'm not sure what the deal with that is. I made no changes other than upgrade to iOS5.

OK, this doesn't make much sense, but...
I went in and deleted about 10-15 movies from my camera roll, and now my Other is 1.33G. Since Movies are part of the Photos section (which was also substantially reduced), I do not see why Other would have anything to do with movie storage. And since I now have 13.3G free space I'll not worry any more about it. Until next time.
I'm about to clear out my Messages app from all my Messages history (I'm guessing some photos and movies there are part of that large "other"?). Has anyone had luck with that?
Also I noticed iTunes Wifi syncing hasn't been working lately 😟
