iOS5-Notification centre does not show on locked screen

I have this issue on iPad 1. I'm wondering if it was intentionally left out (also multi tasking gestures) to encourage an upgrade to iPad2. It might be an oversight or bug. Let's hope so. Otherwise watch the press stories tomorrow for massive complaints. The iPad1 is perfectly capable of running these features.

I'm not seeing Notification center on my lock screen either. I've reviewed all settings thinking it had to be enabled, but not found it. Anyone else??

It doesn't look any different, but if you touch the top status line (where wifi cheese etc is located) and hold your finger for a second before doing the swipe, then maybe you will see it?

I too thought mine was missing until I did this. Worth a try.

I have the same issue on my iPhone 3GS.

I can pull down the notifications from the Home Screen but not the Lock Screen.

Tried UK- Max's suggestion but it makes no difference.

Having the same issue on the iPhone4. Is the notification center supposed to work on locked screen in the first place?

if NOT then Apple is the most stupid company ever ... to release stuff STEP BY STEP when you could do it better from the start is just WRONG, from any point you look at it ..

I will just jailbreak my iphone again.

Besides, they did not added the Favorties in the Notification center, like LockScrenInfo/jailbreak, which is a huge kill for me...

Can't do it either, so it still a several key press process just to find out what your next appointment is.

I finally got mine to work. It appears that you have to swipe just above the clock in the top center of the page down. I was originally doing a whole page swipe from about the top third down and getting no results. A short downward swipe starting at the clock should work. Also make sure you have you notifications turned on in settings.

jawjafan can you confirm you are doing this from the LOCK screen and not a standard page.

I was unable to get notifications to appear by swiping on the LOCK screen but can get them to appear by swiping on a standard page. I do have notifications appearing in the LOCK screen. I set a reminder for myself as a test for a few minutes in the future. I then locked my iPad 1 and waited. The notifcation did come through on the LOCK screen when the appropriate time reached.

I'm having similar problems after installing on my iphone 4. Despite having specific apps set to show updates on the lock screen, it doesn't appear to be working. hope apple get this sorted. I've found ios5 to be a bit of a disappointment so far if im being honest.

It doesn't work on the lock screen in the way you think (or I thought to be honest!)

A huge miss by Apple. Really disappointing that we still have a lock screen that serves no useful purpose apart from displaying your kid's photograph on it.
