Delete single photos in photostream

How do I delete one og more pictures from photostream?

I've already found out that I can delete my entire photostream "library".

But it should be possible to mark and delete 1 or more photos.

Does anybody know how to do that?

If it's not possible: APPLE pls. fix it 🙂

Thanks

OMG, I don't believe this thread! That does not work. Whenever you reinstate your account, the photos will return.

Look, the simple facts (at the moment) are:

1) you cannot delete individual photos in PS

2) the only way to delete any photos is to delete them all by resetting the Photostream on iCloud.com.

Anything else -apart from some iPhoto workarounds - will NOT work.

Yep - after all our squabbles it looks like Apple is reacting - suggest we now wait to be told exactly what the solution is, try it once released, then start again!...only this time can we be more constructive and positive in our discussion rather that try to prove how technically advanced we think we are compared to others - have faith guys - Apple gives us a good deal in the end...

I have kind of found a way around apples pathetic attempt at iCloud and photo stream.

The best way I have found to get this done is, I.e. if you have a 'private' photo on your phone which has gone into photo stream, turn photo stream off, which will cause it to delete the whole picture library.. Then delete the 'private' photo(s), turn photo stream back on and it will sync whatever's in the iPhone library, hence getting rid of the photos you don't want.

Hope this helps.

I have a question. How do I unsubscribe from this ridiculous thread? I really don't want another 18000 emails saying turn photo stream on and off and delete all my photos. This is not the answer and why bother repeating what another 17999 people have said before you?

Read the whole discussion first before posting.

I know we can't delete single photos yet that's the whole point. Until then my main priority is to stop this mail spam full of inane suggestions.

So much ego here. So much insecurity. "convince others of their tech superiority"? Some people here actually work in tech. Nobody is coming to your jobs and telling you how to do them or that they know more than you. The engineers in this forum who have given their input are not doing it for their own benefit. We already know the answers. We already know about the fix in the beta release. We are trying to help some people here figure out fixes and work arounds. It is out of the kindness of our hearts. You don't know the first thing about how to build or program or architect solutions. You just buy iphones the day they come out and then complain behind the safety of a help board. This board is to help consumers learn to use their devices better and to understand the functionality of their devices. This is not to listen to 50 year olds debate the competency of Apple. You are like armchair QB's complaining about Aaron Roger's performance. You are not qualified and if you are not qualified, nobody cares what you have to say since it offers nothing. Go back to your day jobs and let the people who need help ask for it and receive it. The fix is coming in the next update. Now close this forum and go buy more products so we can make more money.
